A mutually beneficial partnership: PIH and Managed Services
Since the early 2000s, PIH Health and the Altera Managed Services team have been partners, united by the goal of helping the hospital to achieve its business objectives. Serving more than 3.7M residents in three counties, PIH is now the second largest Altera Managed Services site. Initially 30–40 employees, the Managed Services team has grown to nearly 120 on-shore and 40 off-shore employees.
The Managed Services team has enabled PIH to reach new technological heights while facing many challenges, one of which being the COVID-19 pandemic. When the virus started surging in early 2020, new solutions were quickly implemented for patient portal members at PIH Health including a telehealth platform called Doxy.me. These solutions are still in use, enabling clinicians and patients to have safer care. After years of partnership and success, PIH trusts Altera Managed Services to provide meaningful outcomes for both patients and staff.
